Daily Student Success Statement

"When you Tell One Lie, it leads to Another." - Paul Hatch Reflection:  I believe this means that when you tell one lie, you make another lie to cover up the first one. If you keep on repeating to do this you will end up saying a bunch of lies. If you have lied multiple times to cover up other lies you will feel stressed as you wouldn't want to mess up a past lie or get the details wrong. Eventually someone is going to notice you messed up a detail or you said a lie you hadn't told them before and they will know you are lying. When people find out you have been telling them not one but multiple lies they will be very mad at you. People will dislike you, not talk to you, and will never trust you again. That is why I believe you should never lie to anyone no matter in what situation. This is because one small punishment now is better that one big punishment later. That is why I like and agree with Paul Hatch's quote.

Daily Student Success Statemen t  " Always Do Right." -Mark Twain Reflection: The student success statement of today is "Always Do Right." by Mark Twain. What I believe this means is that there are certain things you do everyday for example eating, and sleeping. Things you do every week, such as going to school as well as going to the park or exercising. There are also things you do every month such as doing projects or getting your report cards. As well as there are things you do every year for example going for a a check up or celebrating your birthday, but there is this one thing you have to do at ALL times and that is doing what's right. Doing what's right will never fail you in a ny situation and it will leave you very happy. Sometimes if you always behave and do the right thing you can feel appreciated by others and maybe even get rewards for your good deeds. For example if you are walking and you are very hungry and you find a wallet near a...

My Thanksgiving week

Thanksgiving Week This past thanksgiving I had a very wonderful time with my family. This thanksgiving we didn't travel anywhere we stayed at home. During this week I worked on my book report about The Hunger Games  which was due today, I did a bit of work each day. Most of the days were regular days, I did regular things such as use my phone, watch television, go to the park, etc. For thanksgiving day we went to our cousins' house; We brought some of the food for example chicken (most of us don't like turkey), chips, soda and they made mashed potatoes, bought candy, etc. My little brother played with my little cousin, my baby cousin was being taken care of by the adults, and my 2 other cousins and I were playing around. We all gathered by the table and enjoyed a delicious thanksgiving dinner. My parents allowed me to stay at their house for the night as we didn't want to stop playing. We played some more, we watched television, and we ate chips until it was 4 a.m. an...

"Develop the attitude of gratitude." -Thomas S. Monson Reflection :  What I believe this quote means is that you must show gratitude in your life. Gratitude means to be thankful for people and things that you love and appreciate. If you don't show gratitude people won't think good of you as a person. That is why you should always show gratitude towards those you care for. Be grateful for your family, because they will always love you. Be grateful for your friends, they will always support you and always understand you. Be grateful for having food, as many people around the world don't have the same chances of eating as you. Be grateful for your home as many people don't have any. Lastly be grateful for your education, because in many parts of the world either they have to pay for education or not have any at all.

Thanksiging

Thanksgiving Thanksgiving is a holiday that originated as a public festival and is now celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. In 1620 Pilgrims had landed on America and settled in an area they named Plymouth south of where Boston is today. That year, those who had immigrated had a harsh winter and rations were very limited. Luckily a native American named Squanto helped them how to grow many things and also how to hunt and fish. In 1621 the grateful pilgrims invited the native Americans to an autumn harvest feast that is now known as one of the first Thanksgiving celebrations. For more than two centuries, days of thanksgiving were celebrated by individual colonies and states. It wasn’t until 1863 that President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national Thanksgiving Day to be held each November. The tradition has continued for hundreds of years since and is celebrated with lots of delicious food and wine. Thanksgiving celebration has lost much of its original religious significa...

Daily Student Success Statement  Lou holtz   Can people trust me to do   what's right?                       Am I committed to doing             my very best? Do I treat people the way           I want to be treated?  "If the answers to these questions are YES, there is no way you can fail." Refection:  What I believe this quote means is that if you are doing the previous things stated you will never in life. If you plan on succeeding in life then you must have full commitment, which means to always do as much as you can to help your cause or improve; For example if you join a club, going everyday and participating is showing commitment. You must earn trust from people, which means that you know people can count on you to help them; For example if you know a classmate can trust you to do your part on an assi...

Daily Student Success Statement  "Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. Intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong."  - President John F. Kennedy  Reflection:  I think that this quote means that healthy bodies equal healthy minds. That means that in order to do good in school, concentrate, and work correctly you must also engage in physical activity. Physical activity is important at any age, whether in your free time or in P.E. class. No matter you arge, race, or sex you should definitely engage in physical activity at least one hour a day. Whether you go exercise in the gym, go run or play in the park, play a sport, exercise in P.E. class, or simply dance and play around you must always exercise. Although you may think that exercising and education aren't related you are not right....
