Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day Valentine's Day is a day celebrated in many countries including the United States. In this day many people exchange gifts such as candy, flowers, and jewelry with their loved ones.  The history of Valentines Day's saint is a mystery as the Catholic Church recognizes at least 3 different saints named Valentine or Valentinus. One legend says that Valentine was a priest who served during the third century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men were better soldiers, the outlawed marriage for young men. But Valentine saw the pain it caused some, so he decided to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When they discovered what he was doing, Claudius ordered for him to be killed. There are other stories suggesting that Valentine may have tried to help Christians escape harsh Roma prisons but was killed in the process. Another legend states that an imprisoned Valentine actually sent the first "valentine" himself after he fell...

Daily Student Success Statement

Daily Student Success Statement  "Associate yourself with men of good quality if you esteem your own reputation; for `tis better to be alone than in bad company."  - George Washington  Reflection: I think the student success statement by George Washington is correct. This is because associating with good people brings good things. If you talk with people who whine a lot and complain about your post then those people are a bad influence. They are a good influence, they'll stop you from doing bad stuff, and they'll hep you. But if you hang out with bad people bad things will happen. For example they can influence you to drink or smoke. They may also use you to help them. They won't help you when you need help. It's better to be alone and not go to parties instead of hanging out with bad people.

Daily Student Success Statment

"Right is right only when entire."  - Victor Hugo Reflection: I agree with this student success statement. I agree with it because it tells you that the only way to be right is to be 100% right, nothing less than that. If you cheat  in a test, no matter if it is only one question, what you are doing  it's completely wrong. No matter what you are doing it should be completely right. Not 1% or even 99% right it should always be 100% right, if not it's ll wrong. That is what the quote is trying to explain.

Orthodontist

Orthodontist Duties and Responsibilities:  It is the responsibility of an orthodontist to straighten teeth and correct bites. Orthodontists are responsible for locating problems with the positioning of patient's teeth and with their oral development. They also use x-rays or plaster molds of the patient's teeth to do so.  Salary: Orthodontists make an average salary of  around $79,159-$292,533 yearly.    Education: Orthodontists must have a Undergraduate degree; Doctor of Dental Science Degree via the completion of four years of study at an accredited dental school; orthodontics residency.  Demand for this particular career: Because most orthodontists run their own business and are typically self-employed, orthodontists must learn skills such as basic  business skills such as human resource management, taxation, billing, finance management and accounting. Sales and persuasive  skills are mostly needed in order to attract other cost...

Daily Student Success Statement

Student Success Statement "If you do what's right, if you live the right way, you'll be taken care of." - Rachel Castillo Reflection: I agree with this student success statement, which shows us the way to properly live. There are three main reasons as in why I agree wit this quote and I will list them. First it talks about something that although is being said everyday not everyone pays attention to it, which is doing what is right. Many people are tolled to do the right thing on a daily basis but they ignore it, I believe society will be better if everyone did the right thing. At least half of the world's problems will be gone if every single person in the entire world would do that. Second thing is that when you do what's right it will pay off later. This is true because  for example if you do something nice for someone else when they need it the most, when you're down they will most likely help you. Good karma will come back to you when you m...
