Reflection: 

What I believe this quote means is that you must show gratitude in your life. Gratitude means to be thankful for people and things that you love and appreciate. If you don't show gratitude people won't think good of you as a person. That is why you should always show gratitude towards those you care for. Be grateful for your family, because they will always love you. Be grateful for your friends, they will always support you and always understand you. Be grateful for having food, as many people around the world don't have the same chances of eating as you. Be grateful for your home as many people don't have any. Lastly be grateful for your education, because in many parts of the world either they have to pay for education or not have any at all.

This quote is saying that  having a good personality is more important than being a  smart person. So it's technically  saying that although intelligence is important, being nicer to others is more important. So it doesn't matter how smart you are, your kindness is all that matters. So if you don't go to college and not get a job and you end up homeless as long as your nice, everything will be great. So be nice, being kind matters most. I was trying to do what was right." -Dean Smith  Reflection:  What I believe this quote means is that you shouldn't do something just so people can like you, you should do it because it's the right thing to do. Instead of doing things for attention you should do it for your own good. Don't try to please others, and do what's right.  For example say you saw someone throw trash on the floor, you should do it because you are trying to do what's right, instead of let's say only doing it because there were a lot of people watching you and thinking good things about you. Try to remember that someday people will forget what you did and not remember any of your past actions, but even if they forget what you did the change you made to help the world will always be there. Daily Student Success Statement  "True Independence and freedom can only exist in doing what's right."  - Brigham Young  Reflection:  I agree with this quote because true independence and freedom can only exist  in doing what's right. So do what's right because it's important to be independent and live freely once you start choosing the right. Like Brigham Young University students don't use bad language, they don't drink alcohol, and caffeine which includes coffee and soda which is so sad. But they resist temptations anyway.
