My Thanksgiving week

Thanksgiving Week

This past thanksgiving I had a very wonderful time with my family. This thanksgiving we didn't travel anywhere we stayed at home. During this week I worked on my book report about The Hunger Games  which was due today, I did a bit of work each day. Most of the days were regular days, I did regular things such as use my phone, watch television, go to the park, etc. For thanksgiving day we went to our cousins' house; We brought some of the food for example chicken (most of us don't like turkey), chips, soda and they made mashed potatoes, bought candy, etc. My little brother played with my little cousin, my baby cousin was being taken care of by the adults, and my 2 other cousins and I were playing around. We all gathered by the table and enjoyed a delicious thanksgiving dinner. My parents allowed me to stay at their house for the night as we didn't want to stop playing. We played some more, we watched television, and we ate chips until it was 4 a.m. and went to sleep. The next day my parents picked me up around 1 p.m. and we went to the park and I went back home to my daily routine. Saturday we went shopping, and visited some of my other family member as well. Then Sunday came and I was sad as it was my last day of thanksgiving break. Although it was an ordinary week (besides thanksgiving of course) I found it very relaxing and a good break from all the stressful work at school. I might even say it was a very fun break and I always remembered to be a ctr person.

"I wasn't trying to leave a legacy. I was trying to do what was right." -Dean Smith  Reflection:  What I believe this quote means is that you shouldn't do something just so people can like you, you should do it because it's the right thing to do. Instead of doing things for attention you should do it for your own good. Don't try to please others, and do what's right.  For example say you saw someone throw trash on the floor, you should do it because you are trying to do what's right, instead of let's say only doing it because there were a lot of people watching you and thinking good things about you. Try to remember that someday people will forget what you did and not remember any of your past actions, but even if they forget what you did the change you made to help the world will always be there. Popularity won't last forever, but everything you have done to help your environment, community, or peers will remain there fo...

"Enthusiasm makes the difference"  - Dr. Norman Vincent Peale  I agree with this quote because if you are not enthusiasm about something it probably means that you do not care. If you do not care about something you might not do a good job at it. If you are not good at doing the thing you are supposed to be doing there will not be any impact and change in the world. So without a good attitude you won't be able to make a difference in the world.

The education requirement system is a bit weird, at least i my opinion. Although I like helping people I do not enjoy lots of physical contact as I get awkward easily.
