My Winter Break

Winter Break

On my winter break I mostly just relaxed, but I also visited people and went places. The first week of winter break was pretty calm, I didn't do much except for Christmas Eve and Christmas. That week I slept in, watched television, and use my phone, I sometimes went to the park as well. On Christmas Eve we went to visit family from my dad's side of the family that leave near us, I don't really know them well so I didn't talk a lot. On Christmas, we visited family from my mom's side. That day I got money, clothes, chocolates, and a gift card. I played with my cousins and we watched movies together. The next week I did more stuff than the week before. We went to some of my cousins' basketball games, we went shopping, and one day I went with my cousins as we traveled all over Los Angeles just stopping at interesting places. Then days later New Years Eve arrived and we spent it with my dad's family again, and like before I didn't really talk to them a lot, it was still better than Christmas Eve because we all watched movies on New Years Eve. Then 2018 arrived, and we were all so excited for a new year. The first day we spent it with my mom's side of my family which was fun. We played games, watched television, had conversations, as well as played video games. The last week I spent it mostly at my cousins' house, it was fun and we did many things together, I even slpet over at their house a couple of times. That is what I did on my winter break.

Student Sucess Statement

Daily Student Success Statement  "When a deep injury is done us, we never recover until we forgive." -Alan Paton Reflection: I agree with the statement by Alan Paton. If someone does something for you, you must forgive. Forgiveness doesn't have to start right away, but it has to start somehow. If you don't forgive you'll grow old and you'll still be filled with hate for someone. Instead you should have forgiveness and enjoy a good life with no hatred . For example let's say your neighbor crashed into your car, you should forgive them eventually. Sure, at first you might be mad for what they did to your car and how much it will cost you, but eventually you should forgive them. What good does being filled with hate and not forgiving someone bring you. Instead of being bitter and mad at people, you should be happy knowing you gave them a  second chance and maybe even changed their life.
